A very enjoyable O&CSS drinks party 2018 took place in the O&C Club, Pall Mall on Thursday 23 March 2018. A 'full house' turnout of OUYC, CUCrC, and CUYC alumni as well as Society members enjoyed the networking opportunities afforded, and the excellent address given by Volvo Ocean Race winner Ian Walker.
After a day of good racing on the Saturday, overnight snow coupled with bad weather forced the abandonment of the UKTRA 2018 Team Racing Championships held at Spinnaker SC 17/18 March 2018.
It is with great regret that we have learned of the death of John Clay (Magdalen, Oxford 1948) who passed away peacefully on Saturday 17th February in Winchester, aged 90. Always a keen sailor and supporter of the Society, John was Treasurer from 1962 to 1971 and President from 1973 to 1975.
